Boat Moorings & Marinas

Fallwood Marina

Pollard Ln, Leeds LS13 1ER, UK – 0113 258 1074

Visited recently as my Aunt has just moored her boat here. It's a really nice place and good rates according to my Aunt. I had a chat with the owners, Darren and his dad.... lovely people with a few stories to tell. It's a bit cold and dull now but in Summer it looks to be a fantastic place for the family.

Nice

Local Parks & Gardens

York Gate Garden

Back Church Ln, Leeds LS16 8DW, UK – 0113 267 8240

Pretty little garden. It gave us lots of ideas on how to improve our borders. The staff and volunteers are very helpful. The cafe cater for Coeliac's. So we had a nice cup of tea and a piece of gluten free apple and sultana cake. It was a perfect afternoon.

Always amazing. Lunch on the lawn. Garden exceptional, despite the heatwave and drought. Go as often as you can...truly worth repeat visits.

The Hollies

Bardon Grange Lodge, 103 Weetwood Ln, Leeds LS16 5PA, UK

I've been coming here for 30 years man and boy and it gets better every year. Nice gardens, lovely forest, free tennis. Going there makes me feel happy and calm

Beautiful natural woodland walks. Idyllic setting.

Horsforth Hall Park

Hall Ln, Horsforth, Leeds LS18 5JE, UK – 0113 258 1511

Beautiful little secluded spot away from people and distractions. Great place to meditate, relax and self reflect. Very harmonious park, nice selection of rocks that are organised in a great fashion. I usually stay here a few hours after a long hard week of putting up with annoying people. One of my favourite places to relax that is local.

Beautiful gardens and wide open space to run around. Great for kids who love to run around, play football, and explore parks and sand pits. At times through the year (not specified) a fun fair is held. There is also an ice cream van most days and the grounds are well looked after. As well as lots of sun and fun, there is shaded areas as well. Also there's a restaurant at the entrance near the car park.

Great website!. Click below to find gardens open during the year around Leeds or West Yorkshire. There are photos and lots of detail about the garden.
