First time visiting this gem of a place and I was thoroughly impressed. Slightly more expensive now that the big multi-screen cinemas have dropped their prices, but you'll easily make a saving if you buy any refreshments (a cup of tea is just £1... remember that when you spend more on drinks than you did on your cinema ticket at a bigger cinema). The screen itself is beautiful, set up like an old theatre. The sound levels are just right too, which is something that can't be said about most cinemas.
I love Cottage Road Cinemas. I went there as a child and I now take my little one. It’s the oldest cinema in Leeds and it’s independently run. It’s traditional both aesthetically and in the experience. From the little paper tickets, to the drapes in the screen and the ice cream seller at the front before the film comes on. The range is more limited as there is only one screen. However, I find that they always have the most popular children’s movie. We recently went to see Peter Rabbit. As there is only ever one film showing at a time, there’s a community feel as you see the families walking down from nearby streets to watch the film. To top it all off, it’s more reasonably priced than the big chains. The tickets and snacks are both much cheaper. I definitely recommend if you have children. It’s a nicer experience and at a better price.

Most amazing performing arts school with some of the best local talent around. The annual shows are developed, produced & delivered in just one week & can rival any full time performing arts school. Classes include Drama, Singing, Vocal Coaching & Performing Arts - my daughter loves it!

Razzamataz is quite simply the most amazing, nurturing and fun environment for children. My daughter started classes last year and the change in her has been incredible. She has gone from being a rather shy and quiet girl to confident and self-assured. At school she has begun to excel in singing and drama with outstanding feedback in her school report. Phil, Jude and all the team are superb. They always go the extra mile to make everyone feel so welcome. It's so much more than just a theatre school. I cannot recommend Razzamataz highly enough. Five stars just aren't enough!!

Fantastic 5 star performing arts school. My girls (ages 6 and 3 years) both attend and love the classes. The standard of teaching is second to none. I cannot recommend Scala highly enough. The annual Scala kids live (Yeadon town hall) is a must see show. The talent of these kids is AMAZING.
Amazing show this year, gets better and better each time!
